NEW ENGLAND AUTO MUSEUM

Coming soon!

News
March 2011
Great news!  We're hosting our first event for the auto community.  Join us for a slideshow presentation of the 2010 Hot Rod Power tour and narrative led by tour participants Larry Boardman and Pete Rocco.  They travelled a 4,400 mile endurance run from Connecticut to Iowa to Alabama and back again in a 1971 Pontiac GTO.  In addition, author Mark Johnson will present a slideshow and talk about the history of the Klingberg Vintage Motor Car Festival.  Finally, our friend Robert Staneslow, automotive historian, will present a look at historic, unique and rare autos.
All this and more on Sunday, April 3, 2011 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Lewis S. Mills High School auditorium, located on Lyon Road, off Route 4 in Burlington, CT.  Join us for an afternoon of automotive fun...the car show season is almost upon us!  A $5 donation is requested.

June 2010

Yes, we've taken another step by creating a Facebook page.  We find that it is easier to post our weekly activities there than here.  Just log in to Facebook, and search by New England Auto Museum.  There we are!
We have been attending a lot of car shows and cruises this season.  Check out the picture albums on Facebook of the nice rides we've seen so far.

Spring 2010
Welcome back! We apologize for taking so long to update our site, but we have been busy! Our Business Director (and newbie web designer) took some valuable time to earn her Masters degree in Nonprofit Management to better enable us to continue this exciting project.  Now armed with a greater knowledge of nonprofit business principles, we're on our way!
We have continued to make progress on securing property for our facility, and as soon as we sign the papers, we'll let you all in on the final location.  It's a great place with plenty of land for events, and really great neighbors - we can't wait to share it with you!  We'll be back soon with more updates. Until then, we'll see you on the road!

Spring 2009
Car season is finally here!  We debuted our new rolling billboard at the Summer Knights Car Show in Berlin, CT.  We plan to be out and about at various shows and cruises throughout Connecticut all summer long with our 1940 Ford Panel Delivery.  As you can see, it's a work in progress, just like the museum!  If you see us, please stop by to say "Hi"; we'd love to meet you.
Fall 2008
We are considering a terrific location for the museum in central Connecticut. It has good highway accessibility, well-recognized neighbors, and lots of land for cruises, car shows and events.
Since we are only in preliminary negotiations, we don't want to give specifics right now, but we hope that we can share the details with you soon!

Summer 2008
It's been an exciting summer for us!  We have been out and about attending numerous car shows and cruises, and getting to know many of you.  We have been overwhelmed at your enthusiam for this project.  Remember to send us your email address, and we'll add you to our distribution list.

Spring/summer 2008
We are currently evaluating properties in central Connecticut with the anticipation of breaking ground in the fall of 2011. Our vision is to erect a 75,000+ sq. ft. building to house a first-class museum and educational facility.
